Nathan Bendon - Assistant Training Coach

I have trained with Henry Cleminson for over five years during this time I have gained a lot of confidence and self-belief the reason why I started Thai boxing was to just get fit and gain a hobby in my life, throughout my training my goals have changed and now I would love to be at the top being ranked and recognised.

Henry has kindly employed me as an assistant instructor and I am enjoying teaching people techniques and inspiring others to want to train. At Corefituk not everyone wants to fight, people come and train for many different reasons being fitness, confidence, having a hobby, relieving stress etc. there are loads of reasons.

At junior level I had a great career with having over fifteen fights and only losing two. At junior I trained with great fighters which helped me improve drastically¸ which gave me the skills and techniques to win three British championships tournaments in a row,

After fighting at a junior level I moved to C class fights at the age of seventeen I had two C class fight then moved up to B class. This is a big step from fighting at amateur level, now I have recognised it my training has changed drastically and I have been training at least twice a day to be fitter then any opponent I may come up against. My fighting weight is usually around 68 – 69kg I am now currently working on bringing my weight down and hoping to fight at 65kg as this will be a massive advantage for me when fighting at this weight as I will be powerful and more technical.
